Andrea is currently pursuing her doctoral training in Clinical Psychology at York University. Prior to beginning the program, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at McGill University, where she completed her undergraduate thesis investigating stress and pain behavior in laboratory mice. Following her undergraduate training, she worked as a research assistant evaluating sensitivity to physical activity in individuals with chronic musculoskeletal pain. For her Master’s thesis, Andrea explored the presurgical predictors of chronic postsurgical pain in patients undergoing cardiothoracic surgery. Her current doctoral research is focused on understanding the relationship between phantom limb sensations and chronic postamputation pain in amputees.
