Dr. Kathryn Curtis

Katy (Kathryn) Curtis received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from York University in 2017 under the supervision of Dr. Katz. She completed her clinical residency at the University Health Network (UHN) in a variety of health and rehabilitation clinical programs, and she completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the Transitional Pain Service at Toronto General Hospital, UHN. Her research interests include evaluating yoga and mindfulness interventions for individuals with chronic pain and limited mobility, and she has published her research in peer reviewed journals and presented at international conferences. At present, she is a clinical and health psychologist at the Comprehensive Integrated Pain Program at Toronto Western Hospital, UHN. In this position, she conducts psychodiagnostic assessments to evaluate candidacy for medical interventions, such as spinal cord stimulation and ketamine infusion, in the treatment of individuals with complex chronic pain conditions. Her treatment approaches include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Clinical Hypnotherapy, and Mindfulness and Self-Compassion Therapies.
