Carmel graduated from York University in 2021 with an Honours BSc in Psychology. Following graduation, she joined Dr. Katz's lab as a research assistant. Carmel currently works with two graduate students on their independent projects, one of which examines the relationship between autobiographical memory biases and chronic postsurgical pain. Through her involvement in these research projects, she hopes to develop a deeper understanding of the factors that influence patient pain outcomes. With a strong interest in health psychology and medicine, she hopes to pursue graduate studies in either clinical psychology or in another health-related area.
